TENMAT FF109 Fire Rated Recessed Light Covers are fire and acoustic rated covers or fire hoods designed to fireproof recessed light fixtures and reinstate the performance of ceilings when penetrated by recessed lights.
The covers are available in various sizes to suit a wide range of lighting products over and above those covered by fire rated downlights.
The FF109X is the only two hour UL tested and approved fire barrier that can be used with a wide range of recessed lights to effectively prevent the spread of flames through a ceiling opening.
The FF109-300 is our best-selling one hour UL Fire Rated Light Cover, suitable for standard 6" recessed lights.
The FF109-350 One Hour Fire Rated Light Cover is suitable for over sized can lights and lights that require ceiling openings up to 8".
The covers are simple to install and can be retrofitted into position providing effective performance even if the light is removed and replaced.
The covers are ventilated to allow heat to disperse from the light but in the event of a fire the intumescent material expands to seal off the ceiling cut-out and vent holes.
